FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Godwin Pumps Showcases Full Range of Dri-Prime Pumps at Bauma 2007
MUNICH, GERMANY Godwin Pumps®, the worldwide manufacturer of the original Dri-Prime® pump, will display its full range of Dri-Prime pumps that has grown to include 12 CD series high-volume, 7 HL series high-lift and three HL extreme high-lift pumps at Bauma 2007 in Munich, Germany. The extensive range of automatic self-priming pumps makes it easy for end-users to match a specific pump to a specific need.
The Godwin Dri-Prime product line consists of two series of pumps the CD series for lower pressure applications suited for construction dewatering and sewer by-passes, and the HL series for high-lift applications suited for higher pressure applications such as mine and quarry dewatering and pumping through nozzles or long pipelines. The HL series offers three new models the HL110M, HL130M and HL160M extreme high-lift models providing extensive application flexibility through a single-stage impeller design with lifts to 183 meters (600 feet) and solids handling capability to 35 millimeters (1 3/8 inches). The single-stage design, coupled with automatic self-priming, run dry capability and solids handling capability, is something very unique in pumps generating pressures to 183 meters (600 feet).
The Godwin Dri-Prime product line provides a wide range of capabilities for pumping many different products at many different flow and pressure requirements. Dri-Prime pumps can also be equipped with your choice of diesel or electric drive, manual or automatic controls, high-volume or high-lift pumping capabilities and various materials of construction, including cast iron, hardened cast steel or stainless steel.
Dri-Prime pumps are readily available in discharge sizes from 50 to 400 millimeters (2 to 16 inches) with maximum flows to 2,265 cubic meters per hour (10,000 gallons per minute), lifts to 183 meters (600 feet) and solids handling to 125 millimeters (5 inches) in diameter. The Godwin Dri-Prime range has proven itself to be the most reliable pump in the industry. It can efficiently pump clean water or handle sewage, tough municipal and industrial sludge, storm water, mine drainage and petroleum products.
You cant tell from a manufacturers cut sheet how reliable a pump is. Reliability comes from a pump seal that can run dry without burning up, a priming system that works better than any other and a heavy-duty design that takes the rugged use our customers encounter. Reliability is reflected in reputation and no pumps are better than Godwin Pumps, said Ron Askin, western regional manager of Godwin Pumps of America, Inc.
Some of the many benefits of Godwin Dri-Prime pumps include:
- A feature that automatically primes and reprimes the pump without needing to add water initially. The units prime to 8.5 meters (28 feet) of static suction lift and can be used with very long suction hoses.
- An oil bath mechanical seal design that protects the pump seal, so the pump can run dry without damage.
- A close-coupled design with the diesel or electric drive that eliminates alignment problems during field maintenance.
- A straight-line suction to the impeller eye that creates an efficient flow path and greater resistance to plugging.
- Hardened cast steel and stainless steel construction material options that improve the lifespan of the units and lower overall operating costs.
