General Description

Utilize individual technical, managerial, communication and product skills to manage and promote the overall growth and profitability of a Godwin Pumps branch. Oversees and is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the physical facility including shop and office areas. Ensures work environment is free of hazards and all pumping and vehicle fleets are in safe operating condition. Recruits, hires, trains, directs, motivates and provides discipline in all areas of operations, sales and support. Analyzes, assesses, recommends and designs pumping systems. Expands the sale and rental of the Godwin Dri-Prime® Pump through establishing and maintaining customer contacts. Oversees and generates sales reports, bids, proposals and quotes. Keeps abreast of and reviews/analyzes Dodge Room and Contractors Exchange Research reports. Participates in trade/professional shows and conferences as required. Maintains open communications with customers for after-hours emergency responses.

Job Responsibilities

Strong management skills to include supervisory responsibility
General knowledge of fluid dynamics
General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
General knowledge of diesel, gas and electrical motors
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to comprehend, think effectively and react appropriately under pressure

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently on a daily basis
Ability to stand, walk, bend and squat
Ability to push and pull
Ability to twist and reach overhead
Ability to grasp and squeeze

Environmental Conditions

Intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
Intermittent exposure to shop and job site conditions

Licenses/Specialized Training

Baccalaureate Degree preferred in mechanical or civil engineering
Three to five years experience in related field of pumps, pumping systems, industry or construction preferred
Three to five years experience in related field of equipment rental preferred
Five plus years experience in a management role
